Starting System - with Auto-Start-Stop

The Auto-Start-Stop system helps reduce fuel consumption by automatically shutting off and restarting your vehicle's engine while the vehicle is stopped. The Auto-Start-Stop system automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a complete stop. The engine restarts automatically when you release the brake pedal. In some situations, your vehicle may restart automatically, for example:

• To maintain interior comfort
• To recharge the battery
