DTC U0428:00 indicates a concern with the steering angle information sent from the SCCM. The module that reports this DTC is not the problem module. Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for PSCM U0428:00. When the PSCM sets this DTC power steering assist will be present, but pull/drift compensation and active parking assist will be disabled.

The presence of DTC U0428:00 will prevent the active park assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park assist event, the event will be terminated and the active park assist system will deactivated.
