Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module: Installation

1.

Install the 5 electrical connectors, and the RFA module.
Torque

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

2.

Install the LH loadspace trim panel. Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel LH .

NOTE: Carry out the remaining steps only if installing a new RFA module.

NOTE: Do not turn on the ignition until 2 keys are programmed and a parameter reset is carried out. The RFA module still communicates with the scan tool with the ignition off. Use the previous scan tool session or start a scan tool session using the PCM part number or tear tag.
- Carry out the key programming procedure. Refer to: Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment .
- Carry out the parameter reset. Refer to: Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset .

4.

Carry out the RFA module self-test (must include an on-demand self-test) and then repeat the self-test to confirm all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been cleared.
