Diagnostic Aids

The PSCM uses the motor inside the EPAS gear to calculate the angle and rotation of the steering wheel and then transmits this information to other modules over the HS-CAN.

When one or both of these DTCs are set, the PSCM removes steering assist, enters into manual mode and transmits an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN. The module also sends a message to the IPC to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.
