DTC U0428:00 indicates a concern with the steering angle information sent from the SCCM. The module reporting this DTC is not the problem module. Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for PSCM DTC U0428:00. When the PSCM sets this DTC power steering assist is present, but pull compensation, drift compensation and active parking assist are disabled.

The presence of DTC U0428:00 prevents the active park assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park assist event, the event is terminated and the active park assist system is deactivated.
