Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. REFER to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .

Use the General Equipment: Ford Diagnostic Equipment

Reprogram the PATS Refer to: PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET - Vehicles Without: Keyless Entry and Push Button Start. REFER to: PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) PARAMETER RESET - Vehicles With: Keyless Entry and Push Button Start.

4.

After completing the repairs, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure.
