If DTC C102D sets, steering assist is unaffected during the current drive cycle but steering assist is removed starting at the next ignition cycle. Message center displays STEERING MALFUNCTION SERVICE NOW, STEERING LOSS STOP SAFELY or SERVICE POWER STEERING.
