U0257:00 Lost Communication With Front Control/Display Interface Module: No Sub Type Information GO to Pinpoint Test AC
U0423:00 Invalid Data Received From Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module: No Sub Type Information RETRIEVE and FOLLOW non-network Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the IPC. REFER to: Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present in the IPC, DIAGNOSE the observable symptom.
U2100:00 Initial Configuration Not Complete: No Sub Type Information CHECK vehicle service history for recent service actions related to this module. This DTC set due to incomplete or incorrect Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedures. If there have been recent service actions with this module, REPEAT/PERFORM the APIM programming as directed by the diagnostic scan tool. REFER to: SYNC Module [APIM] Programming If there have been no recent service actions, Refer to APIM HARDWARE TESTING
U2101:00 Control Module Configuration Incompatible: No Sub Type Information CHECK vehicle service history for recent service actions related to this module.
U3000:04 Control Module: System Internal Failure GO to Pinpoint Test N
U3000:41 Control Module: General Checksum Failure CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
WAIT at least 10 seconds.
REPEAT the self-test.
If DTC U3000:41 is retrieved again Refer to APIM HARDWARE TESTING
U3000:42 Control Module: General Memory Failure CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
WAIT at least 10 seconds.
REPEAT the self-test.
If DTC U3000:42 is retrieved again, Refer to APIM HARDWARE TESTING
U3000:88 Control Module: Bus Off Network communication/message Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can result from intermittent concerns such as damaged wiring or low battery voltage occurrences. Additionally, vehicle repair procedures such as module reprogramming often set these Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). To avoid repeat network concerns, INSPECT for damaged or corroded wiring at the APIM.
TEST the vehicle battery.
For 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS), REFER to: Charging System - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS)
For 2.0L Duratec-HE (125kW/170PS) - MI4, REFER to: Charging System - 2.0L Duratec-HE (110kW/150PS) - MI4/2.0L Duratec-HE (125kW/170PS) - MI4
For 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS) - MI4, REFER to: Charging System - 2.0L EcoBoost (184kW/250PS) - MI4
Replacing a module to resolve a network DTC is unlikely to resolve the concern. The module was unable to communicate on the network at a point in time. The fault is not currently present.
CLEAR the DTC.
REPEAT the network test with the diagnostic scan tool.
U3003:16 Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold GO to Pinpoint Test AD
U3003:17 Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold GO to Pinpoint Test AE
