Exhaust System Alignment
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking and Lifting .
- 3.
Loosen all exhaust component fasteners and clamps from the turbocharger to the muffler and tailpipe.
- 4.NOTE: Make sure the exhaust isolators are not torn, damaged or binding.
Beginning at the front of the vehicle, align the exhaust system to establish the maximum clearance to surrounding components.
- 5.
Tighten the RH catalytic converter flange nuts in the following sequence:- 1.
Partially tighten the RH lower catalytic converter flange nut.
- 2.
Tighten the RH upper catalytic converter flange nut.- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- 3.
Tighten the RH lower catalytic converter flange nut.- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Tighten the LH catalytic converter flange nuts in the following sequence:- 1.
Partially tighten the LH lower catalytic converter flange nut.
- 2.
Tighten the LH upper catalytic converter flange nut.- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- 3.
Tighten the LH lower catalytic converter flange nut.- Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Tighten the dual catalytic converter to muffler flange bolts and tighten in the following sequence:- 1.
Snug the outer dual catalytic converter to muffler flange bolt.
- 2.
Tighten the inner dual catalytic converter to muffler flange bolt.- Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
- 3.
Tighten the outer dual catalytic converter to muffler flange bolt.- Tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).

- 9.NOTE: Make sure the locator tab is in position before tightening components.
- 1.
Tighten the muffler and tailpipe Torca ® clamp.- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
- 2.
Tighten the bolts to the isolator bracket to frame.- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
