RFA Module

The RFA module is responsible for obtaining the passive key data and keyless entry lock/unlock requests. It uses the passive entry antennas and the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver to receive the passive key data. The RFA module receives input from the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver, the passive entry antennas, the lock/unlock switches integrated in the door handles and the liftgate/luggage compartment lid release switch. The RFA module communicates the passive key and request data to the BCM over the MS-CAN.

If the RFA module is replaced, it requires:

• at least two keys must be programmed to it.
• parameter reset performed with the BCM.
