Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The externally controlled variable displacement compressor is electronically controlled by the PCM. The PCM pulse width modulates the ground to the externally controlled variable displacement compressor to change the displacement of the A/C compressor.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| P06A0 | Variable A/C Compressor Control Circuit | The PCM senses greater than expected voltage on the A/C compressor control solenoid feedback circuit, indicating a short to voltage or an open circuit or solenoid. |

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Inspect for loose or corroded PCM and A/C compressor connections.
- Inspect BJB fuse 34 (10A).
