Generic Function Module 2 (GFM2)
The GFM2 is the ECU for the vehicle dynamic suspension system and the vehicle fuel level. The GFM2 monitors all sensor inputs and all HS-CAN messages relating to the vehicle dynamic suspension and then directly controls the valve solenoids in the shocks and struts. The GFM2 sends a PWM signal to each valve solenoid to control the amount of damping required.
When the front strut assembly or rear shock is disassembled, disconnected or removed, the GFM2 sends out a "signal faulty" message and sets the appropriate DTC.
