Heated Seat Module
The heated seat module is part of the cushion heater mat assembly (includes heated seat module, cushion heater mat and associated wiring) and cannot be serviced separately. The driver/passenger heated seat module receives voltage from the accessory relay. When commanded by the heated seat control switch, the heated seat module monitors the cushion temperature sensor and supplies heater current to the seat cushion and backrest heater mats until the desired setpoint temperature is reached. Once the setpoint temperature is reached, the heated seat module cycles the heater circuits on/off as required to maintain the setpoint temperature. The driver/passenger heated seat module has internal overtemperature detection. If the temperature exceeds 115 ° C (238.8 ° F), the heated seat module output is switched off. The system reactivates automatically after the temperature drops below 100 ° C (211.9 ° F).
