RFA Module DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B10AB:00 | Remote Keyless Entry Synchronization: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the RFA module detects the rolling counter received from a RKE transmitter is out of synchronization with the rolling counter stored in the module. |
| U201F:00 | External Receiver: No Sub Type Information | Sets when the RFA module has lost communication with the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver. A short to ground or voltage in the communication circuit can cause this DTC to set. |
| U201F:13 | External Receiver: Circuit Open | Sets when the RFA module has lost communication with the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver. An open in the communication circuit can cause this DTC to set. |
| U201F:87 | External Receiver: Missing Message | Sets when the RFA module has lost communication with the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver. |
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Passive key battery
- Passive key
- Passive key button pressed a substantial amount of times while outside the range of the vehicle
- Passive key programming
- Network concern
- Radio Frequency (RF) Receiver
- RFA module
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Inspect the BCM fuse 81 (5A) and make sure it is OK.
- Inspect the passive key for damage.
- Check for aftermarket passive keys.
