Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment

NOTE: To enter the PATS security access if no programmed passive keys are available, start a vehicle session using a tear tag or PCM part number. The PATS security access can still be granted even with the ignition off.

- From the diagnostic scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select Body>Security>PATS Functions and follow the on-screen instructions to enter PATS security access.

NOTE: A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed into the vehicle.
- From the diagnostic scan tool menu, select the appropriate key programming procedure and follow the on-screen instructions to program the passive key(s).

NOTE: When prompted by the scan tool, place the passive key next to the PATS transceiver.
