DTC B1304 Electronic Power Assisted Steering System: Description
The PSCM is supplied voltage through one high current and one low current circuit. The low current circuit is dedicated to PSCM module power. This allows the PSCM to monitor and detect system power concerns on the high current circuit. The entire EPAS system uses a single ground. Although the ground circuit is not directly monitored, ground circuit concerns may be interpreted by the PSCM as voltage supply concerns.
- DTC B1304:68 (Electronic Power Assisted Steering System: Event Information) - This DTC sets if the battery voltage falls below 11.5 volts for more than 1 second with the ignition ON and the engine speed above 500 RPM.
DTC B1304:68 sets if the battery voltage falls below the required limits during engine cranking.
