MyKey® Interaction

Through the MyKey® feature, the traction control system of the vehicle dynamic system can be configured to be always on or to allow the driver to select the traction control system on or off. Refer to the Owner's Literature for additional information on the various MyKey® settings.

When the traction control system is configured to be always on and a MyKey® restricted key is in use on vehicles equipped with a 2.0L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine and a message center, the IPC ignores any requests made by the driver to disable the traction control system and does not send any traction control disable messages to the ABS module.

When the traction control system is configured to be always on and a MyKey® restricted key is in use on vehicles equipped with a 2.0L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) engine, the ABS module ignores any driver input through the ESC OFF switch.
