Normal Operations and Fault Conditions
When the BCM receives a request to remote start the vehicle, it first checks to make sure conditions exist to allow it to start (for example, the hood and doors closed, vehicle in PARK, no powertrain concerns). If the required conditions are correct, the BCM starts the vehicle and allows it to run for a predetermined amount of time, determined by the setting selected from the message center.
