Heated Seats

The heated seat control switches are contained within the HVAC module. Each time the heated seat switch is pressed, it cycles to the next heat setting (low, medium, high, off). The HVAC module sends a unique voltage signal to the associated driver or passenger heated seat module. The heated seat module supplies heater current to the seat cushion and backrest heater mats while monitoring input from a temperature sensor (part of the seat cushion heater mat) to maintain the desired seat temperature (setpoint) selected by the heated seat control switch. The heated seat remains on until the heated seat control switch is turned off or the ignition is set to OFF.
