Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Ford Edge. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
With the ignition ON, the RCM sends messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the ABS module sets a DTCs. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the RCM, refer to the DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION .
PPT BH ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| U0151:00 | Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information | Sets in continuous memory and on-demand when the expected RCM messages such as yaw rate sensor, lateral and longitudinal accelerometers are missing for more than 5 seconds. |
| U0151:87 | Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information | Sets in continuous memory and on-demand when the ABS module detects the RCM status messages are missing. |
| U0452:29 | Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: Signal Invalid | Sets if the ABS module receives a parking brake 'drive away release' request and the driver seat belt buckle status message contains invalid information. |
| U0452:41 | Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: General Checksum Failure | Sets if the yaw rate, lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration or roll rate message checksum is incorrect or does not match the calculated checksum more than twice. |
| U0452:86 | Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: Signal Invalid | Sets if any of the RCM signal messages (yaw rate, lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration and roll rate) are out of range or the signal contains invalid information. |
