| P0A3F | Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit | If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. This DTC indicates that one or both of the rotary position sensors have failed. The transmission may be stuck in Park if both sensors fail. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, Refer to: Transmission Range (TR) Sensor (307-01 Automatic Transmission). |
| P177A | Transmission Range Select Motor | If DTC P177B is present, diagnose this DTC first. If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. This DTC indicates the TRCM did not achieve or hold the position commanded by the PCM. INSPECT the selector lever cable routing and adjustment. Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F35 . Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6F50/6F55 . If the cable is adjusted correctly, apply the park brake and disconnect selector lever cable from the manual control lever. Manually move the manual control lever from Park to Drive and back to Park. If there is little or no resistance, INSPECT the manual valve detent spring. If the manual lever has excessive resistance or sticks then further investigation is required. The park system, manual valve and/or TR sensor assembly may have an issue. reattach shift cable and perform cable adjustment procedure. | P177B | Transmission Range Select Motor Current Too High | If other DTCs are present, address those DTCs first. Except DTC P177A. This DTC indicates the TRCM did not achieve or hold the position commanded by the PCM. GO to Pinpoint Test G |
| P177C | Default Position Motor | This DTC may set from a low battery condition. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If TRCM DTC P07F5 is present, GO to Pinpoint Test F This DTC, P177C indicates the default to park mechanism has failed. Default to Park disabled or transmission is stuck in Park. May set DTC P177D, P177E and/or P0A3F. RERUN the TRCM self-test. If DTC P177C returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, Refer to: Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM) . |
| P177D | Default Position Motor Current Too High | This DTC indicates the default to park motor current was too high. Default to Park disabled or transmission is stuck in Park. Allow the system to cool. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, GO to Pinpoint Test G |
| P177E | Default Position Sensor Range/Performance | This DTC indicates that one or both of the sensors on the default mechanism have failed. Transmission stuck in Park. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the TRCM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new TRCM, Refer to: Transmission Range Control Module (TRCM) (307-05 Automatic Transmission External Controls, Removal and Installation). |
| P2533 | Ignition Switch Run/Start Position Circuit | This DTC indicates the redundant run/start ignition circuit is intermittent. | U0073 | Control Module Communication Bus "A" Off | Park may be available only by door or seat belt changing state. Stay In Neutral may be disabled. Neutral Tow may be disabled. Exit from Neutral Tow may be disabled. INSPECT the connectors for damaged or pushed-out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals. CLEAR the DTC. PERFORM the Network Test. | U0404 | Invalid Data Received from Gear Shift Control Module "A" | This DTC indicates the PCM is able to receive GSM CAN messages but the GSM is indicating a fault on one or more of the data signals the TRCM uses for function. Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve GSM DTCs. Refer to GSM chart and follow the GSM repair procedures. |
| U0415 | Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module | This DTC indicates the ABS module is sending a fault state for vehicle speed. Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve ABS DTCs. Refer to: Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control . and follow the ABS repair procedures. |
| U0422 | Invalid Data Received from Body Control Module | This DTC indicates the BCM is sending a fault state for one or more signals the TRCM uses for function. Using the diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR all DTCs. PERFORM a BCM self-test. If BCM DTCs are present, Refer to: Body Control Module (BCM) . and follow the BCM repair procedures. |
