DTC U0428: Invalid Data Received From Steering Angle Sensor Module

| 81 | This DTC sets if the ABS module receives "no data exists" or "faulty" in the active steering messages. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all SASM DTCs first. If no SASM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all SASM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary. |
| 82 | This DTC sets if the active steering rolling counter is incorrect. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all SASM DTCs first. If no SASM DTCs are present, the DTC may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all SASM electrical connectors and related inline connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary. |
