BCM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| B12E8:11 | Liftgate/Tailgate Control/Release Switch: Circuit Short to Ground | A continuous DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to ground from the liftgate release switch input circuit. |
| B12E8:23 | Liftgate/Tailgate Control/Release Switch: Signal Stuck Low | An on-demand DTC that sets when the BCM detects a short to ground from the liftgate release switch input circuit. |
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Liftgate release switch
- Liftgate latch
- BCM
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Inspect the BCM fuse 65 (10A) and make sure it is OK.
