Occupant Classification System (OCS) Sensor: Removal

WARNING:
The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- 1.
Remove the front seat. Refer to: Front Seat .
- 5.
If equipped. Detach the heated seat wire harness retainers and remove the electrical connectors from the connector housing.
- 6.NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the clips.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
- 2.
Release the bracket locking tabs and detach the OCS sensor.

Remove the seat cushion cover.- 1.
Invert the cushion cover sides.
- 2.
Remove the cushion cover side hog rings.
- 3.
Invert the front and rear of the cushion cover.
- 4.
Remove the center hog rings.

Remove the pin-type retainers.
- 2.NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.NOTE: Note the location of the OCS hose and heater mat pigtail (if equipped) as it passes through the seat springs for proper installation.
Remove the OCS.
