Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Installation

Install the LH headlight. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .
- 6.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Position the hose aside, remove the oil filler cap and remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.
- 7.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.NOTE: The PCM is programmed with an IQA code for each fuel injector. If a new PCM is installed record the fuel injector IQA code located on top of the fuel injector.

- Fuel injector IQA code.
- 8.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the oil filler cap. Install the engine appearance cover, position the hose back and install the oil filler cap.
- 9.NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.NOTE: The PCM must be programmed with the proper fuel injector IQA codes.
- Upload the module information from the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .
- Using the scan tool, follow the on-screen instructions and program the PCM with the appropriate fuel injector IQA code for any fuel injector that was replaced.
