Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

  1. 1.

    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .

  1. 2.

    • Remove the degas bottle retainers.

      Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

    • Position aside degas bottle.

  1. 3.

    • Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
    • Remove the mounting bolts and the PCM.

      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
