Tow/Haul Switch

The Tow/Haul switch (if equipped) is a momentary contact switch located on the selector lever bezel. To activate, press the Tow/Haul button. The words TOW HAUL will illuminate on the IPC. To deactivate, press the Tow/Haul button. The words TOW HAUL will no longer be illuminated on the IPC. When the engine is turned off and restarted, the transmission automatically returns to normal D mode (Tow/Haul OFF).

The Tow/Haul feature:

• delays upshifts to reduce the frequency of transmission shifting.
• provides engine braking when the selector lever is in the D position.
• downshifts to provide engine braking and control vehicle speed when descending a hill.
