Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: If installing a new RFA module, verify at least 2 of the vehicle keys are available prior to carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the diagnostic scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

Carry out the PMI procedure for the RFA module. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .
Remove the driver knee air bag. Refer to: Driver Knee Airbag .
Remove the retainers and RFA.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
