Cruise Control Module (CCM): Removal

Cruise control module (CCM) 

NOTE: The vertical and horizontal alignment procedures need to be carried out to align the sensor.
  1. NOTE: If installing a new CCM, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new CCM after installation.

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the CCM following the onscreen instructions.

  2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector, and gently pry to release the CCM from the ball studs.

  5. Inspect the grommets for damage. If any plastic grommet is damaged, a new grommet should be installed.

  6. Remove the CCM bracket nut.

  7. Separate the CCM harness guides.

  8. Remove the CCM bracket.

    1. Remove the CCM bracket bolts.
    2. Slide the CCM bracket left and down.
