DTC U053B Invalid Data Received from Image Processing Module A: Action

CARRY OUT a self-test of the IPMA. If the diagnostic scan tool indicates the module is not responding, REFER to appropriate Module Communications Network article to diagnose the network communication concern. If IPMA DTCs are present, REFER to appropriate Rear View Mirrors article to diagnose the IPMA system fault. If there are no DTCs in the IPMA, SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT all IPMA electrical connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary.
