For DTC U3000:41, the PSCM disables steering assist, enters manual mode and transmits an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN. The module also sends a message to the instrument cluster to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.

For DTC U3000:49, the presence of this DTC may or may not affect steering assist. It depends on what other DTCs (if any) are set along with U3000:49. Diagnose all other DTCs before diagnosing U3000:49. The module also sends a message to the instrument cluster to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.
