Diagnostic Aids

DTC U0553:00 indicates a trailer back up assist message concern. The module reporting this DTC is not the problem module. Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for PSCM DTC U0553:00.

The presence of this DTC prevents the trailer back up assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during a trailer back up assist event, the event is terminated and the trailer back up assist system is deactivated.
