Side Obstacle Detection (SOD) Module: Removal

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.

Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the SOD-L or SOD-R following the on-screen instructions.

Remove the rear bumper cover. REFER to Bumper Cover - Rear . Refer to Bumpers .

3.

Remove the SOD-L or SOD-R.

  Disconnect the electrical connector.

  Remove the SOD-L or SOD-R bolt.

Remove the SOD-L or SOD-R bracket screws and the bracket.
