Pinpoint Test T : P2601, P2602, P2603: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Lincoln Navigator and 2017 Ford Expedition. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The auxiliary coolant flow pump helps to get the appropriate flow of hot coolant to the auxiliary heater core for climate control performance.
Refer to Auxiliary Climate Control , for schematic and connector information.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| P2601 | Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit Performance/Stuck Off | This DTC sets when the PCM senses any of the following conditions: Dry-run leads to cabin heater coolant pump running without resistance Over temperature Over/under voltage Impeller stall Impeller speed below minimum speed Internal error |
| P2602 | Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit Low | This DTC sets when the PCM senses low voltage on the PWM circuit when commanding it high, indicating a short to ground to the cabin heater coolant pump. |
| P2603 | Coolant Pump "A" Control Circuit High | This DTC sets when the PCM senses no voltage on the PWM circuit when commanding it high, indicating an open circuit to the cabin heater coolant pump. |
