- 1.NOTE: The object used in this system check can be fabricated from 9 cm O.D. (3 in I.D.) plastic pipe, 100 cm (39 in) length (available as Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC) pipe, or similar from a hardware or plumbing supply).NOTE: This system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a level surface.NOTE: The parking aid system will default to on when the ignition key is cycled from OFF to ON.
Turn the ignition to the ON position, engine off.

Verify that the parking aid system detects the object above when placed in the 5 specified locations (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5).- If the PAM does not detect the object above, refer to Parking Aid Module (PAM) .
