Azimuth System Check

Front and rear sensors 

  1. 1.

    NOTE: The object used in this system check can be fabricated from 9 cm O.D. (3 in I.D.) plastic pipe, 100 cm (39 in) length (available as Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC) pipe, or similar from a hardware or plumbing supply).
    NOTE: This system check should be carried out with the vehicle on a level surface.
    NOTE: The parking aid system will default to on when the ignition key is cycled from OFF to ON.

    Turn the ignition to the ON position, engine off.

    Set the parking brake on.

Rear sensors 

  1. 3.

    Place the gearshift in REVERSE (R).

Front sensors 

  1. 4.

    Place the gearshift in DRIVE (D) or REVERSE (R).

Front and rear sensors 

  1. 5.

    Verify that the parking aid system detects the object above when placed in the 5 specified locations (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5).
