High-Pressure Fuel Pump Drive Unit: Installation
NOTE:
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
- Replace the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit gasket as necessary.
- Install the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit, then install and tighten the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit bolts.
Torque: Stage 1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm) Stage 2: 60°
- Install the bolts and position back the coolant line.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Install the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: High-Pressure Fuel Pump .
- Install cowl extension, then install and tighten the cowl extension bolts.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
- Install the strut tower cross brace, then install and tighten the strut tower cross brace bolts and the strut tower cross brace nuts.
Torque: Bolts : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm) Nuts : 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
- Install the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
- If equipped, install the strut tower cross brace and the new nuts.
Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
- Connect the battery cable retainer.
- Connect both battery cables. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
