Powertrain Control Module (Pcm): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in N position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. NOTE: PCM installation DOES NOT require new keys or programming of keys, only a Parameter Reset of the PATS.
    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Download the module information to the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .

  3. Remove the LH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  4. Remove the retainers and the PCM cover.

  5. Detach the wiring harness grommet.

  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the PCM.
