Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module: Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. If installing a new RFA module, use the previous diagnostic scan tool session and carry out the PMI procedure for the RFA module. Refer to: Module Configuration - System Operation and Component Description .
  3. If installing a new RFA module, carry out the key programming procedure. Refer to: Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment .
  4. If installing a new RFA module, carry out the parameter reset. Refer to: Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Parameter Reset .
  5. Carry out the RFA module self-test (must include an on-demand self-test) and then repeat the self-test to confirm all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been cleared.
