Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

Refer to component description, evaporator temperature sensor. REFER to: Climate Control System - Vehicles With: Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC) - System Operation and Component Description .

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
B1B71:21 Evaporator Temperature Sensor: Signal Amplitude < Minimum This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand when the BCM senses lower than expected voltage on the sensor feedback circuit, indicating a short to ground.
B1B71:22 Evaporator Temperature Sensor: Signal Amplitude > Maximum This DTC sets in continuous memory when the BCM senses greater than expected voltage on the sensor feedback circuit, indicating a short to voltage or an open circuit or sensor.
B1B71:2F Evaporator Temperature Sensor: Signal Erratic This DTC sets when the BCM senses erratic voltages from the evaporator temperature sensor.
