Pinpoint Test H : Lost Communication With Suspect Module
- H1 L1 ATTEMPT TO DUPLICATE THE DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the TCCM continuous memory self-test.
- Clear the DTC
- Ignition OFF.
- Open driver's door
- Close driver's door
- Wait 30 seconds
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 30 seconds
- Repeat the TCCM self-test.
Did the DTC reset in the TCCM?
YES GO to H2 NO The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - H2 CHECK FOR SUSPECT MODULE COMMUNICATION
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the network test.
Did the suspect module PASS the network test?
YES GO to H3 NO The suspect module does not respond to the diagnostic scan tool. REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . - H3 CHECK THE SUSPECT MODULE FOR DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the on demand self-test on the suspect module.
Are any DTCs recorded?
YES DIAGNOSE and REPAIR all suspect module DTC.

REFER to: DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CHARTS AND PINPOINT TESTS - 3.5L ECOBOOST (272KW 370PS) .
REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
REFER to: DTC Chart(s) .
REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL .
REFER to: INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER AND WARNING CHIMES .NO GO to H4 - H4 CHECK FOR TCCM (TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE) ON DEMAND DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the TCCM on demand self-test.
Are any on demand DTCs recorded?
YES DIAGNOSE and REPAIR all TCCM on demand DTC. REFER to: DTC Chart(s) . NO The system is operating correctly at this time.
