Pinpoint Test J : Central Configuration Faults
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
A new TCCM receives and saves vehicle configuration data from the BCM when the new TCCM powers up for the first time. During each subsequent module wake up, the TCCM compares the stored values to those being broadcast by the BCM.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition TCCM U2300:54 Central Configuration: Missing Calibration This DTC sets if one or more expected configuration data parameters (gearbox type, axle ratio, tire circumference) is missing from the BCM. TCCM U2300:55 Central Configuration: Not Configured This DTC sets upon power up only until all expected configuration data parameters (gearbox type, axle ratio, tire circumference) are received from the BCM. TCCM U2300:56 Central Configuration: Invalid/Incompatible Configuration This DTC sets if a configuration data parameter (gearbox type, axle ratio, tire circumference) received from the BCM is invalid or out of expected range. TCCM U2300:64 Central Configuration: Signal Plausibility Failure This DTC sets if the configuration data parameters (gearbox type, axle ratio, tire circumference) received from the BCM are not a valid buildable combination. Possible Sources
- BCM fault
- BCM PMI error
- TCCM
- J1 CHECK FOR BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: BCM On Demand and CMDTC self-test.
Are any DTC present?
Yes DIAGNOSE and REPAIR all DTC in the BCM. Refer to BCM Guided Routine . No GO to J2 - J2 ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THE DATA ERROR
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: BCM Configuration.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: Clear and Retest TCCM CMDTC.
Did the U2300:xx Central Configuration DTC set?
Yes INSTALL a new TCCM. REFER to: Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) . No The repair is complete.
