Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

With the ignition ON, the RCM sends messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within a certain time frame, the ABS module sets a DTCs. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the RCM, refer to the Description and Operation in Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control.

| U0151:00 | Lost Communication With Restraints Control Module: No Sub Type Information | This DTC sets if any one of the following messages is missing; yaw rate, lateral acceleration, longitudinal acceleration or roll rate. |
| U0452:41 | Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: General Checksum Failure | This DTC sets if the check sum in the stability sensor messages is invalid or does not match the ABS module calculated check sum more than twice. |
| U0452:86 | Invalid Data Received From Restraints Control Module: Signal Invalid | This DTC sets if the information in any of the stability sensors messages (yaw rate, roll rate, lateral acceleration or longitudinal acceleration) contains invalid or out of range data. |
