Pinpoint Test A: The CCM (Cruise Control Module) Does Not Communicate With The Diagnostic Scan Tool

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The CCM communicates with the diagnostic scan tool through the IPMA on a private CAN circuit. The IPMA is used as a gateway for CCM network communications. REFER to: Cruise Control - System Operation and Component Description .
Possible Sources
- Fuse 25 (15A)
- Wiring, terminals and connector
- CCM
- IPMA
- A1 CHECK FOR IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear all IPMA DTCs.
- Wait at least 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPMA self-test.
Are any IPMA network or non-network DTCs recorded?
Yes DIAGNOSE and REPAIR those DTCs first. REFER to: Lane Keeping System . No DIAGNOSE lost communication with the CCM and follow Pinpoint Test C1001:08, GO to Pinpoint Test H
