Transfer Case Shift Motor: Installation

NOTE: This step is not necessary when installing a new transfer case clutch actuator.

NOTE: Lubricate the "O" ring surface with oil before installing.

Insert the "O"-ring seal on the transfer case shift motor.

Material: Motorcraft® MERCON® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (WSS-M2C938-A) (MERCON® LV,)

Install the transfer case shift motor and bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Connect the electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.

If equipped. Install the skid plate bolts and the skid plate.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
