Transfer Case Fluid Level Check

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations, refer to OEM COLOR CODING

Check 

1. Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions .
2. NOTE: Make sure that the vehicle is standing on a level surface.

   With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .

3. Check the component for leaks.
4. Transfer case Fluid Level Check should only be carried out if an oil leak was identified.
5. NOTE: The transfer case should be in in-vehicle position.
   NOTE: Only use the specified lubricant.

   Remove the filler plug and seal and add the specified amount and type of oil through the filler plug hole until the level reaches the bottom of the filler plug hole.

   X : 10 mm.
