Deceleration Control

The CCM commands the ABS module, which controls the brakes, to automatically apply the brakes to slow the vehicle to maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front.
For vehicles equipped with a 6.7L diesel engine, the adaptive cruise control system will also use engine braking to automatically slow the vehicle speed on downward grades, to maintain a safe distance to the vehicle in front.
