DTC P0181 - Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

P0181 - FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:	The PCM monitors the difference between the fuel pressure and temperature sensor and the charge air cooler temperature (CACT) sensor on engine start after a 6 hour soak. This DTC sets when the difference between the two temperatures exceeds a calibrated value.
Possible Causes:	FRT circuit open FRT circuit short to ground FRT circuit short to voltage Damaged fuel pressure and temperature sensor connection Low ambient temperature operation Damaged fuel pressure and temperature sensor
Diagnostic Aids:	Monitor the FRT voltage and temperature PIDs on a scan tool to isolate an open or short circuit from the system concern. Diagnose any FRT circuit related DTCs first.
