Intake Manifold Assembly: Assembly

NOTE:
If the engine is repaired or replaced because of upper engine failure, typically including valve or piston damage, check the intake manifold for metal debris. If metal debris is found, install a new intake manifold. Failure to follow these instructions can result in engine damage.

NOTE: Use O-ring seals that are made of special fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary O-rings can cause the fuel system to leak. Do not reuse the O-ring seals.NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seals with clean engine oil prior to installation.
Install the new O-ring seals on each of the fuel injectors and lubricate with clean engine oil.
- Assemble the fuel injectors onto the fuel rail and install the clips.
- Install the fuel rail and fuel injectors as an assembly on the intake manifold.
- Install the MAP sensor and the bolt.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Install the actuator assemblies and the bolts.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Install the actuator sensors and the bolts.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
