Condenser Inlet Line: Removal

NOTE: During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
  2. Remove the pushpin, release the retainers and remove the air cleaner upper intake duct.

  3. Remove the A/C compressor outlet line nut and disconnect the fitting.

    • Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.

      Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

  4. Remove both headlamp assemblies. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .
    1. All Vehicles. Disconnect the horn electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainer.
    2. Vehicles Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    3. Vehicles Not Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Detach the wiring harness retainer.
    4. Vehicles With Park Aid Camera. Detach the wiring harness retainers.

  5. Detach the pin-type retainer, release the clips and position the washer fluid hose aside.

  6. Remove the bolts, push-pins and the radiator grille bracket.

    Torque:

    Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

    Stage 2: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  7. Remove the retainer and the condenser inlet line.

    • Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.

      Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
