- A1 PERFORM INSPECTION AND VERIFICATION
- Perform Inspection and Verification .
Was an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern found?
Yes Correct the cause as necessary. No GO to A2 - A2 CHECK THE AUXILIARY SYSTEM
- Ignition ON.
- Operate all the upfitter accessories.
Are all the upfitter accessories inoperative?
Yes GO to Pinpoint Test B No GO to A4 - A3 CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE UPFITTER RELAY FUSENOTE: The Upfitter Relays are internal to the BJB and are non -serviceable.
- Ignition ON.
- Place the upfitter switch in question to the ON position.
-
NOTE: When measuring the voltage at the upfitter relay fuse make sure the fuse is seated enough to make contact with the BJB terminal and the positive lead probe from the meter. A fuse jumper wire may be used to aid in this measurement.
For the upfitter relay fuse in question, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead (Upfitter Relay 1 Fuse, F12, 15A) Ground (Upfitter Relay 2 Fuse, F55, 15A) Ground (Upfitter Relay 3 Fuse, F88, 10A) Ground (Upfitter Relay 4 Fuse, F80, 10A) Ground (Upfitter Relay 5 Fuse, F19, 5A) Ground (Upfitter Relay 6 Fuse, F62, 5A) Ground
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
Yes REPAIR the Upfitter relay output to customer installed equipment circuit in question. No GO to A4 - A4 CHECK THE CONTROL VOLTAGE TO THE UPFITTER RELAYNOTE: The Upfitter Relays are internal to the BJB and are non serviceable.
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect. BJB C1035C
- Disconnect. BJB C1035B
- Ignition ON.
- Place the upfitter switch in question to the ON position.
- For the auxiliary switch in question, measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C1035C-1 (AUX 1) C1035B-42 C1035C-14 (AUX 2) C1035B-42 C1035C-23 (AUX 3) C1035B-42 C1035C-28 (AUX 4) C1035B-42 C1035C-17 (AUX 5) C1035B-42 C1035C-15 (AUX 6) C1035B-42
Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?
Yes INSTALL a new BJB. No REPAIR the Upfitter relay control circuit in question.
